Best Mockumentaries
Best Mockumentaries. Movie studios have released dozens of great mockumentaries– movies that adopt the style of a documentary to tell the story — over the years, including “Apollo 18,” released this week. Some, like the “Paranormal Activity” films use fake “found footage.” Others, like “This is Spinal Tap,” are parodies. Here’s a look back at some of the most memorable examples of this unique movie style.

Lady Killers: The Tough 10
Lady killers
"Sucker Punch," a mostly female action-fantasy that's new in theaters this weekend, stars an up-and-comer as a gun-toting, sword-swinging killer with a deceptively sweet name. She dispatches zombies and robots with brutality, but she also wears a thigh-high skirt. Here's a look at 10 of the toughest lady killers ever to hit the big screen, from Western gunslingers to alien killers.

Joan Crawford
In the gender-bending 1954 Western "Johnny Guitar," this silver-screen legend wore the pants and packed the pistols, while co-star Sterling Hayden mostly strummed.
Tura Satana
As the leader of a girl gang in Russ Meyer's 1965 sexploitation classic, "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!," this black-haired powerhouse kills a man with her bare hands.
Sigourney Weaver
As Ripley in 1979's "Alien", she turned a distressed-damsel role into a tough-as-nails character who survived through three more films.
Lori Petty
This star of a baseball movie classic played the title role in 1995's "Tank Girl," the negatively reviewed adaptation of the sci-fi comic books. Perhaps it was ahead of its time.
Bridget Fonda
This legendary actor's granddaughter starred as a deceptively pretty assassin in 1993's "Point of No Return," though Luc Besson's original 1990 French version, "Nikita," remains a landmark among action chick flicks.
Milla Jovovich
The cat-eyed actress has helped make the pulpy "Resident Evil" franchise, based on a video game, a dependable seller at the box office since 2002.
Uma Thurman
Her otherworldly beauty made her an odd but surprisingly effective choice in Quentin Tarantino's ultraviolent "Kill Bill" movies.
Noomi Rapace
In 2009's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," the Swedish actress originated the role of
goth-punk bisexual sleuth Lisbeth Salander, the heroine in a best-selling trilogy. Fans are waiting to see if Rooney Mara can fill her boots in the upcoming American version.
Chloe Grace Moretz
In last year's "Kick-Ass," this sassy young actress played the 11-year-old superhero Hit Girl, racking up a sky-high body count and cursing a blue streak.
Angelina Jolie
One of the few widely successful female action stars, Jolie recently took the lead in the CIA thriller "Salt," a role originally written for a man. Her "Lara Croft" franchise is set for a relaunch; her replacement has not been announced.

Britney's Live Performance Las Vegas

Britney's Live Performance Las Vegas
Britney's back and fit to burst as she wows Las Vegas in a very tight bodysuit for her first live performance in over a year
She's been out of the pop limelight playing the doting mother and living the homebody lifestyle for the past year.
But you can't keep a good pop star down for long - as Britney Spears proved last night.
The singer took to the stage in Las Vegas last night for her first live performance since the end of her The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour in November 2009.

And if she had any apprehension about being somewhat rusty upon returning to the stage, she certainly didn't show it as she sent her fans into a frenzy.
Britney, 29, was back to her pop star finest as she strutted onto the stage in a sexy black leather bodysuit, which showed off her curvaceous figure.
She was literally bursting out of the outfit as she treated her screaming audience to a selection of songs from her upcoming new album Femme Fatale, which is released next Tuesday.
The mini concert started with a montage of her best video moments, which hyped up the crowd, before she came on stage and launched into her new single, Hold It Against Me, flanked by army fatigue-clad dancers.
She then gave her fan a debut performance of the will.i.am produced track Big Fat Bass, which was remixed to included some of her older hits including Slave 4 U and Gimme More.
Britney, who was thoroughly enjoying being under the spotlight again, smiled and sashayed for her fans, as she sang her second single from the album, Till The World Ends.
Toward the end of the show, Britney was snapped gyrating and writing around on large speakers that dotted the stage and she also made a quick costume change into a white bodysuit as neon letters spelling out the name of her new album, flashed above her head.
The show was being taped for MTV for a special for the music channel which will be aired next week.
It also turned out to be a surprise for her fans who had been expecting her to make her live comeback in San Francisco tomorrow night.
The Las Vegas gig was supposed to be a secret, but after rumours began to circulate, Britney took to her Twitter page on Friday to announce: 'Looks like my little secret isn't a secret anymore... You're all invited. Be there or be square b****!'

Elizabeth Taylor Eyes

Elizabeth Taylor Eyes

Mystery over Taylor's true eye color

In death, as in life, it is her eyes that haunt.
After Hollywood's grande dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away, people paid their online respects, searching out her biography, baby pictures, good works (AIDS foundation), her relationships both familial (children, Richard Burton) and famous (Michael Jackson, Andy Warhol). Yet most unique were those eyes, and people wanted another look into them as they sought out "elizabeth taylor eyes," "elizabeth taylor violet eyes pictures," and "elizabeth taylor's eye close up."

Could someone's eyes truly be purple? If photos or her namesake perfume -- Violet Eyes, which debuted just last spring -- weren't proof enough, eyewitness accounts certainly testify to those riveting orbs. A remembrance by Hollywood Reporter film critic Todd McCarthy recalled a meeting in the 1970s, when the actress had essentially retired from the big screen. "What should abruptly stop me in my tracks," he wrote, "but a pair of eyes unlike I've ever beheld, before or since; deep violet eyes of a sort withheld from ordinary mortals that were suddenly looking up into mine from mere inches away."

David Stratton, a film critic for the Australian, also swooned in a 1973 encounter following a festival premiere of her movie "Night Watch": "I was ushered into her presence at the official reception and found myself transfixed by her famous violet eyes. I have never seen eyes of that color before or since and I don't believe cinemagoers were able to appreciate how remarkable they were."

Eye of the Beholder

Violet is indeed a rarity, more so than green eyes, although theories as to what makes them purple vary. Color, of course, is determined by how much melanin pigment the eye has and, to get really scientific, those variations in single nucleotide polymorphisms (thankfully shortened to SNPS) near the OCA2 gene, which are responsible for the color of eyes, hair, and skin. Then again, the simplest explanation would be the same one her doctor gave her mother when describing baby Elizabeth's double row of eyelashes: a "mutation," according to the 1996 book Elizabeth.

Those eyes inspired longing, envy, and a few beauty products: Chicago optical company Wesley-Jensen created violet contact lenses in the 1980s. Before their debut, a W-J spokesperson told The New York Times, "pictures of Elizabeth Taylor are pasted all over our R&D lab." A California ocularist, one of the few in the world to create artificial eyeballs, fulfilled one patient's request for "Elizabeth Taylor eyes."

If you wondered what the scent of violet eyes might be, that would be "light shades of purple rose and violet peony, combined with velvety accents of white peach" with a "voluptuous blend of cedar wood and amber [to] convey the power, sensuality, and mystery of Elizabeth Taylor's eyes."

Vanessa Hudgens Opens up About Her Split from Zac Efron

Vanessa Hudgens Opens up About Her Split from Zac Efron

Vanessa Hudgens admits distance doesn't always make the heart grow fonder.

A major factor leading to her split from longtime love Zac Efron last December was the pair's packed work schedules, which took them to opposite ends of the Earth at times.

"Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what," Hudgens tells the April issue of Shape, out March 21.

Unfortunately, there wasn't an app for that, says Hudgens, 22.
"When you don't have face-to-face time, it's just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it wasn't the same."

Although it's over, the relationship remains a significant one in her life.

"We grew up together," Hudgens says. "It was nice to have someone to share all of those experiences with." She adds of Efron, who visited her (as a friend) on the set of her new movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, "It was a good thing. The relationship kept me grounded, and because I was with someone who knew me so well, I didn’t need to try to be someone I'm not."

The good news: The break-up left her virtually unscathed – and ready to get back out there.

"I hope by the time I'm 30 to have a husband and maybe a baby," she reveals. "I love children. They're so much fun, and I would have a blast spoiling them!"

Mystery over identity of young Hollywood actress caught taking cocaine on camera
Video of a mystery Hollywood actress caught snorting cocaine is being touted for sale - but her identity has not yet been disclosed.

The tape apparently shows 'footage that makes the Miley Cyrus bong video look like a Disney movie'.

The faces of the party-goers have been blurred in the video to protect the unnamed star.

RadarOnline are reporting that a young brunette is the subject of the potentially damaging video.

She is wearing a pink tank top and a black and white cardigan.

A table lined with piles of cocaine and rolled up $100 bills used for snorting the drug is also visible in the shocking video.

Martini and shot glasses are also littered around the table and the revellers snort the coke as well as swiping their fingers through it.

A source told RadarOnline that the mystery actress is not the only well known person on the tape: 'There is more than one famous person in the footage'.

The mysterious girl is with a blonde woman and two young men.

One of the unknown men shouts in the video: 'Look how f***ing high I am... I'm going to snort out a f***ing one!'

Please don't do it', the other man laughs back to him.

'You know how many n****** have put their hands on that shit?!'

Other young starlets like Myley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Lindsay Lohan have hit the headlines recently with issues ranging from addiction, anger management and drug issues.

This woman's identity is not yet known but will surely be damaging to her career if the image of her snorting cocaine is released.

Hours Cristal Watch

Hours Cristal Watch
The main idea of hours of Cristal is to design a custom minute and hour hands, which is shaped like a crystal. However, the beauty of this concept is a bit inconsistent with the practicality and readability. Therefore, in the center of the dial is also a LED display that shows the exact time and date. One press of a button on the right side of the clock - and the LED-display shows you the time, two clicks - and you'll see the date.
