Think Before You Tweet
Think before you tweet
It takes only a few seconds to reread what you type and decide if you'd really like the whole world to see it. We bet that these famous folks wish they'd done that, now that they've had to apologize for inappropriate posts from their Twitter accounts. Find out who are the top entertainers on Twitter and who are the most followed.

Drake
The tweet: "It's easy to love me now. RIP Nate Dogg."

When rap legend Nate Dogg recently passed away, fellow rapper Drake (watch his videos) took to Twitter. He later apologized and explained the meaning behind this seemingly self-serving tweet.
Kenneth Cole
The tweet: "Millions are in uproar in #Cairo. Rumor is they heard our new spring collection is now available online at http://bit.ly/KCairo."

Using a revolution to promote a fashion collection didn't go over so well for Kenneth Cole when he posted that one. Read his apology.
LeBron James
The tweet: "Crazy. Karma is a b**** … Gets you every time. It's not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!"

After the Lakers crushed his former team by 55 points, James vented on Twitter. He has since denied that it was directed at the Cavaliers, or that he even wrote it. Here's his statement.
Cappie Pondexter
The tweet: "What if God was tired of the way they treated their own people in there (sic) own country! Idk guys he makes no mistakes." And later: "u just never know! They did pearl harbor, so u can't expect anything less."

The WNBA star tweeted in the wake of the Japan disaster. Read her apology. She was once a central figure in another scandal.
Courtney Love
The tweet: "She has received a VAST amount of money from me over 40,000 dollars and I do not make people famous and get raped TOO!"

Love recently had to pay designer Dawn Simorangkir a settlement because of her Twitter rant. The settlement is a big lesson in watching what you say via social-media platforms.
Gilbert Gottfried
The tweet: "I just split up with my girlfriend, but like the Japanese say, 'they'll (sic) be another one floating by any minute now.'"

Gottfried was fired from his quacky gig because of his tasteless tsunami jokes via Twitter.
50 Cent
The tweet: "Look this is very serious people I had to evacuate all my h**s from LA, Hawaii and Japan. I had to do it. Lol."

Another day, another insensitive tsunami tweet. 50 Cent issued an apology after backlash from this tweet soon after news of the tragedy broke.
Todd Herremans
The tweet: "So ... caught up on Trueblood las nite.. Not a fan of how they get u hooked with the first two seasons then bring on a barrage of homosexuality."

The Philadelphia Eagles guard made the comments via Twitter.
Terry McMillan
The tweet: "The Smith children already act like child stars. There's an arrogance in their demeanor and behavior. I find it incredibly sad. It feels like the Smith children are being pimped and exploited. Or, they're already hungry for fame. What about 4th grade?"

The author had some strong opinions about the way Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith are raising their kids.
Paul Frank
The tweet: "Having your whole boob out and breastfeeding in our store #NOTOKAYATALL."

The designer issued an apology after a store employee posted the anti-breastfeeding tweet from their store Twitter account.
Bow Wow
The tweet: "Face numb im whippin the lambo. Tipsy as f***. Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot."

Tweeting that you're doing something illegal? Not a wise move. That's what Bow Wow did when he drove drunk.
Jim Carrey
The tweet: "No wife is blind enough to miss that much infidelity. Elin had 2 b a willing participant on the ride 4 whatever reason. kids/lifestyle."

He outraged a few people when he placed blame on Tiger's wife for his infidelity. He never formally apologized but stopped tweeting about it after saying this.
