Sarah Jessica Parker Turns 46 Today
Sarah Jessica Parker started her career in the theatre. She had a role along with 4 of her siblings in 'The Sound of Music" at the Municipal Theatre located in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1977 she landed a supporting role as the character "July" in the Broadway production of "Annie". By 1979, Sarah won the leading role as "Annie" and played the role until 1981. From there Sarah Jessica Parker went on to television. She played "Patty Green" on the short lived CBS television series "Square Pegs".
Sarah Jessica Parker starred in many films, but may be best known for her leading role as "Carrie Bradshaw" in the HBO series "Sex in the City". "Sex in the City" ran from 1998-2004. In 2004, Sarah Jessica Parker won an Emmy for her leading role as "Carrie Bradshaw".
Sarah Jessica Parker is married to actor Matthew Broderick, Broderick may be best known for his role as "Ferris Bueller" in the hit 1986 film "Ferris Bueller's Day off" by John Hughes. Sarah and Matthew have been married since May, 1997. Sarah Jessica Parker is also a mother of 3 children, son James Wilke Broderick (8), and twin daughters via a surrogate, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick (1).
