Kate Winslet Reveals Her Killer Curves

Kate Winslet Reveals Her Killer Curves
Kate Winslet reveals her killer curves in a sheer dress... but what a shame about the powdery face

Her stunning outfit and killer curves certainly ensured she stole the spotlight from her younger co-star.

Kate Winslet walked the red carpet at the premiere of her new mini-series in New York last night in a form-fitting Stella McCartney dress with polka dot panelling.

The 35-year-old's hair was swept up in a tousled up 'do, and the only let-down was Kate's powdery complexion.

As the face of cosmetics house LancĂ´me, Kate has the resources to look flawless, but her pale make-up did nothing to flatter the actress' stunning features.

Just recently, Kate discussed the joys of a good lipstick, some advice she may have been better advised to follow.

She said: 'I do think that lipstick is the best friend of absolute femininity... and I also think there's something happening right now in the cosmetic industry, which is that we're seeing the big come-back of a great lipstick.

'L'Absolu Nu is a soft, delicious stain. It's very, very sexy ... very, very subtle.'

Winslet was joined by her co-stars, including the stunning Evan Rachel Wood, 23, who plays her on-screen daughter in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce.

Evan looked immaculate in a plum long sleeve jersey cocktail dress and matching peep-toe platforms both by Elie Saab.

Kate plays the title role in Mildred Pierce, a five-part mini-series adapted from James M. Cain's 1941 novel.

It is directed by Todd Haynes and also stars The Fighter actress Melissa Leo, Guy Pearce and James LeGros.

Set in the Great Depression, Winslet's character finds herself separated from her husband, opening a new restaurant and falling in love with another man.

At the same time, the new business puts a strain on her already fragile relationship with her daughter Veda.

Parts 1 and 2 of Mildred Pierce premiere on March 27 on HBO.

App tops iTunes chart Katy Perry's Revenge 2
A free, two-song version of Katy Perry's Revenge has rocked its way up to the top of the App Store charts.
Sponsored by Microsoft's search engine Bing, Katy Perry's Revenge 2 lets you tap your way through Perry's smash song "Firework" and her latest hit, "E.T.," featuring Kanye West.

In case you've never played a Tap Tap Revenge game before, you're challenged to tap one of three colored orbs at the correct time, as it passes through a circle near the bottom of the screen. Similar in concept to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, you'll rack up points for staying in rhythm as long as you can without a mistake, pressing and holding some notes for a longer period of time and collecting multipliers for bonus points.

Behind the action are images of Katy Perry and graphics related to the song (such a seeing animated fireworks at key times throughout the song).

This free app – which might make you watch a Bing advertisement before you play (it seems to be random) – also lets you access Katy Perry lyrics from Bing, read tour info and follow her tweets – all from within the app.

As with many other free apps, there's also an option to upgrade to the full Katy Perry's Revenge game ($4.99) with many more of her songs -- including chart-topping tracks like "I Kissed a Girl," "California Gurls," "Hot N Cold," "Teenage Dream," and "Waking up in Vegas."

Hours Cristal Watch
The main idea of hours of Cristal is to design a custom minute and hour hands, which is shaped like a crystal. However, the beauty of this concept is a bit inconsistent with the practicality and readability. Therefore, in the center of the dial is also a LED display that shows the exact time and date. One press of a button on the right side of the clock - and the LED-display shows you the time, two clicks - and you'll see the date.

Rhanna Shows Off Her Wig Collection
Earlier in the day she was sporting long sleek locks, but by the time evening rolled around Rihanna had transformed her barnet into a fiery red afro.

The singer took her afro out to Giorgio Baldi Ristorante in Los Angeles last night, and put her clea**** on full display in a low cut mini dress.

Her hair and outfit both grabbed as much attention as each other, as the Bajan beauty almost spilled out of her tiny dress.

Blue Unveil Anthemic Eurovision Track

Posted by Shazy on Friday, March 11, 2011

Blue Unveil Anthemic Eurovision Track
Reunited quartet Blue have unveiled the "anthemic" track they will be taking to Eurovision this year, insisting taking part will not be "career suicide".

"We felt quite privileged to be asked," singer Duncan James told reporters on Thursday. "How many opportunities do you get to represent your country?"

Blue will perform the song, I Can, on Graham Norton's BBC One show on Friday.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany on 14 May.

Band member Simon Webbe is adamant the track will not receive the dreaded "nul point".

"We don't see this as career suicide even if a lot of people will see it that way," he continued.

"It's a great way to show we are a live group and we are back after 10 years."

The UK has not won Eurovision since 1997 when Katrina and the Waves triumphed with Love Shine a Light.

Last year's hopeful, Josh Dubovie, finished in last place with That Sounds Good to Me, a song co-written by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman.

"People always say the UK aren't particularly liked in Europe and we don't get the points," said James.

"But they're trying to change the block voting so it becomes less political."

"Eurovision is about the music and bringing people together," added Webbe.

"People just want to have fun and I hope the politics doesn't get in the way."

But according to Lee Ryan, it is a "cop out" to blame the UK's mixed fortunes on anti-British prejudice.

"It's nothing to do with being English," he insisted. "It's because we haven't put a good song in for a long time."
At a press event in central London on Thursday, reporters were played the track which the band will perform on a Graham Norton's chat show.

The "anthemic" song, said Ryan, was "a very powerful" composition that was "perfect" for the annual competition.

For fourth member Antony Costa, the chance to win the contest "and bring it back to Britain" would be "fantastic".

"It would be amazing, wouldn't it?" he added, exhorting members of the press to "get behind us and bring the crown home".

The 29-year-old - who was unsuccessful in his attempt to represent the UK as a solo artist in 2006 - said he was "a massive Eurovision fan" and had watched it since childhood.

"As long as we can go out there and give 110%, so all you guys can wake up on the 15th and go 'Blue did a good job', I'll be happy."

X Factor contestants Jedward and last year's winner Lena Mayer-Landrut are among other acts competing this year, representing Ireland and Germany respectively.

Israel's Dana International, who won Eurovision in 1998, is also making a return to the contest.

Graham Norton will commentate the BBC's coverage of the 2011 contest, to be broadcast live on BBC One.

The Top 10 Most Popular Athletes on Twitter

The Top 10 Most Popular Athletes on Twitter
The biggest athlete in professional sports is also the biggest athlete on Twitter.

NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has the most followers of any athlete on the social media site, with over 3.5 million users reading his tweets. Brazilian soccer star Kaka is second on the list, more than 500,000 followers behind.

Though athletic success is a good yardstick in determining which men and women have the most followers, it's not as reliable an indicator as you'd think. For instance, Tiger Woods isn't in the top 10 but Chad Ochocinco is. (Tiger actually has fewer followers than fellow golfers Stewart Cink and Ian Poulter.) LeBron James cracks the list but comes in behind Reggie Bush. And of all the baseball players with accounts, one-time All-Star Nick Swisher is the most popular. (It doesn't hurt that he's on the New York Yankees.)

Here's the list of the top-10 athletes on Twitter, along with a sample tweet and a summary of their favorite subjects:
1. Shaquille O'Neal -- @THE_REAL_SHAQ -- 3,564,335 followers -- 51 tweets (in the month of February)
2. Kaka -- @kaka -- 2,934,112 followers -- 57 tweets
3. Serena Williams -- @serenawilliams -- 1,931,286 followers -- 412 tweets
4. Cristiano Ronaldo -- @Cristiano -- 1,914,172 followers -- 88 tweets
5. Dwight Howard -- @DwightHoward -- 1,874,255 followers -- 22 tweets
6. Paul Pierce -- @paulpierce34 -- 1,745,039 followers -- 69 tweets
7. Chad Ochocinco -- @ochocinco -- 1,741,178 followers -- 630 tweets
8. Reggie Bush -- @reggie_bush -- 1,555,080 followers -- 61 tweets
9. LeBron James -- @kingjames -- 1,492,952 followers -- 46 tweets
10. Nick Swisher -- @nickswisher -- 1,273,939 followers -- 64 tweets

Rihanna And Ciara Engage In Twitter War
Another Twitter war is among us and pop divas Rihanna and Ciara are at the frontlines. Who knew these two had so much beef with one another?

According to reports, the war began when Ciara appeared on E!’s Fashion Police and made a snide comment towards the “Umbrella” singer.“I ran into her (Rihanna) recently at a party, and she wasn’t the nicest.”

Rihanna, of course, took to her Twitter account and defended herself.

“My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme”

According to an article at The Music Magazine, Ciara had no problem defending herself and said, “Trust me Rhianna u dont want to see me on or off stage.”

A few more words and exchanges were made before the feud cooled off. The ladies started making peace with one another and now it’s just a matter of time before another Twitter brawl erupts.

How NJ high schooler scored hottest viral video goal of 2011

Posted by Shazy on Wednesday, February 23, 2011

Mike Criscitello had seen it executed in YouTube videos and attempted in hockey skills competitions for years: the sneaky shot in which a player lifts the puck off the ice and fires it lacrosse-style at a goaltender.

It was something the Edison High School (N.J.) senior had fooled around with in practice, to the point where his teammates anticipated Criscitello might try one himself during a game.

On Feb. 11, he took his shot. It was a blowout against Colonia early in the third period; an 8-4 victory in which he'd score five goals.

Criscitello picked this spot to attempt a lacrosse-style shot, but the defense wasn't cooperating. This led to one of the most unorthodox and spectacular attempts at the "Michigan Goal" we've seen during the course of an actual game: a spinning whip of the stick from the top of the circles, and an instant classic:
"As a senior, it was one of my last regular-season games. So I figured I'd try it out," he said. "And it worked out."

For Criscitello, it's worked out to the tune of 20,000 views on YouTube, an appearance on ESPN and viral video status on several sports sites, including one that called it "the best high-school hockey goal you will ever see."

So where did this shot, and the video, come from, exactly? His inspiration might surprise you.

Turns out that for all the lacrosse shots attempted in hockey, from Mike Legg to Rob Schremp to fellow high school players, Criscitello said his main inspiration was then 9-year-old Oliver Wahlstrom, who scored this goal in a Boston Bruins "TD Bank Mini 1-on-1" tournament in 2009:

Like Wahlstrom, Criscitello is a child of the game, as his father and brother both played hockey. (Criscitello is a lifelong New York Rangers fan as well.)

An undeniable charm in Criscitello's clip is the grainy, low-fi quality of it, which resembles found footage of the Loch Ness Monster. As one of the many YouTube commenters asked: "Was this filmed on a calculator?"

Not quite. It was filmed at the game on a video camera, which Criscitello borrowed, hooked up to a flat screen and had his father film off the television with another camera. Then Criscitello himself loaded the clip to YouTube, with keywords that included "most top dirtiest sexiest finest shot."

So the subject of this viral video is the one who helped make it viral; a perfectly symbolic origin story for a social media generation in which anyone can have his or her moment in the spotlight.

"I thought it was going to be big Jersey-wise. I thought it was going to get around, but not on ESPN," he said. "I've had kids come up to me on other teams who said, ‘You did that, didn't you?'"

Ah, yes, the other team. In the case of this goal, it was Colonia High School, a rival of Edison's and a team filled with players Criscitello knew pretty well. "If that was any other team we're not familiar with, it would have gone completely different," he said, inferring potential retribution.

Once he committed to attempting the shot, Criscitello had to adjust to what the Colonia defense was giving him. "They were collapsing deep, so I couldn't get a breakaway to do it. I decided to take it down the middle and I saw the gap between the defensemen, and tried to pull it off," said Criscitello, who is also an accomplished lacrosse player at Edison.

"You could tell after I scored, I didn't really know what to do. I just put my arm up. I was amazed it went in. Thought it was going to go wide or something. Everybody was in awe."

His coach, Jose Pan, was amazed, as well as concerned -- about sportsmanship.

"My first reaction was to hope that the other team didn't take it as an insult. We weren't trying to embarrass them," he said.

"He figured he'd give it a shot. It was one of those things that you see happen, but you don't believe it until it goes through."

Or until the viral video makes "SportsCenter."

Lindsay Lohan Won't Be On 'Letterman' After All; 'Letterman' Say Unauthorized Person Made Booking, Was It Her Father?

Posted by Shazy on Thursday, February 17, 2011

Despite the reports, Lindsay Lohan actually won't be appearing on "The Late Show with David Letterman" this week.
"I am NOT going to be doing David Letterman," Lohan Tweeted late Tuesday night. "I'm not sure how this happened, but I am sorry for the confusion."

On Wednesday morning, Tom Keaney, a spokesperson for Worldwide Pants Inc., which produces "Letterman," revealed that someone not authorized to make commitments for the starlet had made the booking.
"Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday's 'Late Show with David Letterman,' as had been previously announced. We made a mistake," Keaney's statement read. "Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay's reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear. Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf. We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future."
Michael Lohan confirmed to Access Hollywood that he was the one who signed his daughter on for the Top 10 list spot. He told Access it was done with Lindsay's blessing, but he claims her management nixed it.
On Tuesday afternoon, CBS had announced in a press release that the actress would present the Top Ten list on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Thursday.
Lindsay is currently out on bail on a felony grand theft charge in Los Angeles and is due back in court on February 23. Read More: Yahoo

TV Junkie: Will 'Mr. Sunshine' Continue To ...Shine for ABC?

Posted by Shazy

The numbers will tell: Tonight we'll see how the second episode of Matthew Perry's "Mr. Sunshine" performs. Last week's premiere was the best Wednesday @ 9:30pm premiere ABC has had since "Cougar Town" launched in 2009. This didn't surprise us, as we surmised last week, because of the star power each of the "Friends" cast still commands. Since we don't have access to the Nielsen data that would show if/how many viewers dropped off during the airing we won't truly know how the show is doing until after tonight.

"Mr. Sunshine," starring Matthew Perry as a frazzled sports/events arena-manager named Ben, does have some great cast members: we loved Andrea Anders in "Better Off Ted" and hope to see more of her, and Allison Janney of "The West Wing" showed us in Josh Malina's web series, "Backwash," that she was willing to go there with comedy. The question is, are we going to be feeling nostalgic for these now-defunct shows while watching "Mr. Sunshine" instead of giving this series a fair shake? If you watched last week's premiere, let us know, does "Mr. Sunshine" deserve more time?

---
The Night In Preview: Yes, there will be new episode of "Modern Family" on as well tonight, but we're really hankering for the new episode of "Justified" (10pm on FX). We're predicting that this will be the breakout season for this series and last week's premiere only whetted our appetite for more of Timothy Olyphant's performance as US Marshall Raylan Givens, as well as his lovely costars Natalie Zea and Joelle Carter (please see our video interview with her at the end of this post!). Late night looks good as well with both Fred Armisen (congrats on the renewal of "Portlandia"!) and Reggie Watts on "Conan" while Rosie O'Donnell promises to cause a ruckus over on Jimmy Fallon's show.

---
The TV Junkie Must-Watch Plan: "Modern Family," "Mr. Sunshine," "Justified," "Conan" (Martin Lawrence, Fred Armisen, comic Reggie Watts), "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" (Rosie O'Donnell, actor Brandon T. Jackson, Odd Future performs)

7:00pm Lawrence of Arabia TCM - (1962) Controversial British officer T.E. Lawrence (Peter O'Toole) learns the culture of Arabs (Alec Guinness, Anthony Quinn) and unites their tribes against the Turks.

8:00pm Survivor: Redemption Island CBS - The 18 contestants arrive in Nicaragua to begin competing for a million-dollar prize; castaways Russell Hantz and Rob Mariano return.

9:00pm Modern Family ABC - Fizbo is disinvited from Lily's birthday party; Mitchell and Clarie's mother DeDe (Shelley Long) comes to the party with Claire's ex-boyfriend (Matt Dillon)

9:00pm NOVA PBS/KOCE - Crash of Flight 447 The 2009 crash of Air France Flight 447 leaves questions about the airplane's flight path straight into a deadly storm.

9:30pm Mr. Sunshine ABC - Crystal holds a contest for Employee of the Year despite having chosen a winner already; Ben must cater to the needs of a teen heartthrob (Nick Jonas) who is set to perform at the arena.

10:00pm Justified FX - Raylan chases a pregnant fugitive who has fallen into the hands of human traffickers.

10:00pm Nova scienceNOW PBS/KOCE - Where Did We Come From? Origin of the very first living thing.

11:00pm Conan TBS - Actor Martin Lawrence; actor Fred Armisen; comic Reggie Watts.

11:35pm Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Amos Lee performs.

11:35pm The Tonight Show With Jay Leno NBC - Sports commentator Charles Barkley; reality-TV personality Jenni "JWoww" Farley; Red performs.
