'It seemed pointless me even being there': Calvin Harris enters Twitter feud with Katy Perry after pulling out of UK tour
Katy Perry and Calvin Harris have had a very public bust-up over Twitter after the Flashback star pulled out of her UK shows.

Calvin was scheduled to open for Katy’s gigs but cancelled at the last minute after being angered over set arrangements.

The furious I Kissed A Girl singer vented on Twitter, posting: ‘Calvin Harris will NOT be joining in on the fun and has CANCELLED last minute.’

To which Calvin, 27, replied: ‘Sorry to all who wanted to see me with Katy – her team suddenly moved the goalposts and I was to appear on stage with no production.’

Russell Brand’s wife Katy hit back again with: ‘The goalpost seems to be perfectly fine for New Young Pony Club, Yelle, Robyn, Marina & The Diamonds, to name a few.

‘Or how bout Janell Monae and her 16 piece band… It’s fine, I’m used to you cancelling on me, it’s become ur staple!’

Calvin then tried to explain by tweeting: ‘It would have looked s***, sounded s*** - trust me you would have been more disappointed SEEING the show than u are with me cancelling.’

He then began complimenting Perry, tweeting: ‘Her show is AWESOME, you’ll have an amazing time without me. (especially w/o me DJing on a cardboard box in front of a pink curtain)

And then apologised, posting: ‘I’m really sorry @katyperry I’m just upset because I really wanted to play but ur team made it impossible.

‘We tried really hard to sort it out, but playing side of stage for 30 mins, it seemed pointless me even being there. Didn’t intend to cause offence or upset anybody.’

But Calvin’s cancellation seemed to spark fury with Katy Perry fans also, who started sending abuse to the DJ.

Calvin retaliated by tweeting: ‘WTF are Katy Perry fans telling me to KILL MYSELF on twitter for? Seriously. I’m a producer making music. Leave me alone please thanks x’

Despite the debacle, Katy still hit the stage last night at Dublin’s O2 Arena as part of her California Dreams Tour.

The star was mobbed outside her hotel yesterday by fans, with one waiting for Katy to autograph his photo of her.

But the singer was no doubt disappointed with his photo choice, as he held onto a copy of the make-up free picture of Katy that Russell Brand famously posted on Twitter in January.

The 26-year-old was said to be furious at Brand for putting the photo on the social networking site but her fans still seem to be enjoying it.

Last week the company announced its fifth anniversary since the first code for the site was written and released a series of statistics to reflect the site’s popularity and global usage.

On average 140 million tweets are sent a day, which is up nearly 100 million on the amount posted on a daily basis a year ago.

More than 460,000 new accounts have been added every day over the last month and the number of mobile Twitter users has increased by 182 per cent over the last year. However, the company has not revealed how many people actually use the service via their phones.

Reality stars Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian appeared to be everywhere yesterday, doing what they do best - shopping, pampering, and partying.

While most mere mortals clocked on for a day in the office, Kim, 30, was enjoying a pampering session at a Beverly Hills nail salon.

The model, entrepreneur and now singer was typically glamorous in a leopard print shirt, black skinny jeans, towering Fendi heels and a Hermes handbag for her mani and pedi.

Kim's left the salon in flip flops after having her red nails changed into a more subtle French manicure ahead of a girls night out last night.

Miss Kardashian was later spotted at trendy STK restaurant in Los Angeles, where she dined with a group of girlfriends including Kelly Rowland and Serena Williams.

The reality star changed into a white and black dress for the dinner, with nude platform heels.

But it wasn't all relaxing and dining out, Kim did manage to get some hard work in too. She tweeted yesterday: 'Rise & grind! Had a really hard workout with my mom very early today! Feels good to get it out of the way! Now off to a fun photo shoot.'

Meanwhile, Kim's sisters Kourtney and Khloe were enjoying a day in the sunshine with their other halves.

Youngest sister Khloe, 26, had lunch at Cafe Med at the Sunset Plaza in West Hollywood with her husband, LA Lakers player Lamar Odom.

Never one to fade into the background, Khloe stepped out in bright red jeans with eye-catching shearling and leather buckled boots.

The loved-up couple laughed and wrapped their arms around each other as they strolled back to their car after lunch.

Khloe and Lamar, 31, who are about to star in their own reality spin-off series, also paid a visit to an office building in LA, and left hauling a Louis Vuitton suitcase.

Eldest Kardashian Kourtney also dined out yesterday. The 31-year-old was spotted outside La Scala restaurant with partner Scott Disick and baby Mason.

She spends half her time in New York, where partner Scott grew up, while Kim has her own luxury mansion and Khloe has moved in with husband Lamar.

Speaking to Cliq magazine, Kourtney said of Khloe: 'Kim and I feel like we don't know what's going on in that house. Every time we call she's being all secretive and whispering. We just don't know what she's doing over there.

'It's weird. ever since we got our own houses, I just don't go over there to just hang out and watch TV. We just don't do that.'

But in fact the reality TV star was actually dresses as a princess for her royal-themed fancy dress party to celebrate her 26th birthday.

The Bristol blonde was joined by her Aussie boyfriend and a host of Big Brother stars at the Jewel bar in Piccadilly Circus.

After the party wrapped up at midnight, Josie was seen wondering around the street of London in her fancy dress outfit - which consisted of a corseted white dress and fuchsia gloves.

It appeared she had also substituted a pair of high heels for some comfortable Haviana flip-flops.

Nowhere to be seen was her Australian boyfriend John James - who she met on the defunct Channel 4 reality show last summer - who had been DJing in the party.

The reality star was clearly a bit merry after admitting the morning after the night before on her Twitter page she was a 'drunken twit'.

Writing on her Twitter page on Saturday, she said: 'I'm cringing today. Remembering what a drunken twit I am. Oh no...

'Oh no I keep getting flashbacks from last night. I'm sorry to anyone that was there.'

She also sent a Tweet to Big Brother 9 contestant Lisa Appleton - who attended the party - admitting she had fallen asleep in her fancy dress costume.

She said: 'Thank you so much for coming. I still got my dress on. LOL. Thank you so much.'

Also in attendance at the party was Big Brother 11 alumni JJ Bird and Mario Mugan, The Only Way Is Essex Candy Jacobs and Mikey Woods and Vanessa Feltz's boyfriend Ben Ofoedu.

Josie's birthday was actually in January, but she only got round to celebrating it now.

In recent weeks she has been promoting her debut perfume Josie.

Gibson won the 11th series of Big Brother last August and went on to appear on Ultimate Big Brother.

But she found it hard to fit in with the other celebrities and was pining for her boyfriend John James so quit the follow-up show after three days.

Since leaving the show, Gibson and Parton have moved in together in London and co-starred in a one-off Channel 5 documentary together last October.

In an interview last month, Gibson admitted the pair have come close to splitting several times.

She said: 'I think we've both considered calling it quits a few times. But I love him. John's really loyal and if he loves you he'll do anything for you.'
